How we make money & our editorial standards

Urban Dog Project earns commissions when you purchase pet insurance or other products through our affiliate links. This means:

• If you click a link to a pet insurance provider and enroll in a policy, we may receive a commission
• Your price is never higher because you used our link—the commission comes from the provider
• We only recommend products we've researched or personally used

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships don't influence our recommendations. Here's how we operate:

• We research and test products regardless of commission rates
• We clearly explain tradeoffs and limitations, even for products we link to
• If a provider we don't have an affiliate relationship with is genuinely better for your situation, we'll tell you
• All sponsored content is clearly labeled (though we currently don't have any)

Educational content

The guides, blog posts, and tools on this site are for informational and educational purposes. They're not:

• Guaranteed to be comprehensive for every situation
